CRSS-SCT Certification - A fact finding survey

Purpose

The purpose of this questionnaire is to solicit feedback from the Canadian remote sensing community on whether or not a Canadian Remote Sensing Society (CRSS-SCT) national certification program in remote sensing is needed or desired, and if so, what elements it should contain. At this time, we are simply seeking opinions and this does not constitute a proposal.

As an independent national society playing a lead role in the dissemination of knowledge on remote sensing technology, applications and practices in Canada, and based on our previous experiences with Certification including on the CRSS-SCT Executive, we are ideally placed and have the capacity to lead this if our community desires. It is expected that a certification program would recognize existing training, and where needed, provide training so that candidates could meet certification requirements. Your responses to the following questions will help inform the next steps.
