Focusing on bills that affect patient access and care in Vermont

Working on the introduction of legislation to provide NP preceptors with a tax credit (unlikely to be feasible in this upcoming session, but potential future issue)

Building support to train more psychiatric NP providers through the re-instatement of the post-graduate psychiatric mental health NP track at UVM

Protecting current NP scope of practice by ensuring that the 2019 OPR (Office of Professional Regulation) Bill does not include additional restrictions affecting NPs in Vermont

Assisting with Vermont Department of Health efforts to increase the numbers of NPs who have a DEA X-Waiver for prescribing buprenorphine for opioid use disorder
