What’s happening?

In January 2016, the Cariboo Regional District (CRD) recently launched a project to update the Lac La Hache Official Community Plan (OCP). The OCP is expected to be complete by spring 2017.
What’s an OCP?

An OCP is a document that provides policies on a broad range of topics. Local governments use OCPs to help guide and support decision-making on a number of important community matters including land use decisions, environmental protection, the look and feel of an area and much more.  They are one of the most important planning documents for a community.
What’s the process?

OCP updates are community driven processes. Throughout the OCP review, the CRD has been engaging with residents, business owners, property owners and other stakeholders. A volunteer Advisory Group of area residents has been set up to help review materials and provide input on the Draft OCP.

We are encouraging community members to review the Draft OCP and provide comments and feedback. You can participate in project surveys and download all project materials (including the Draft OCP) at www.cariboord.ca. Please return or submit your survey before March 31, 2017.

Final revisions will be made following the close of the survey and community input. After the formal referral process, public hearings will take place and the OCP will go to the CRD Board for adoption.
Fill out the survey and be entered to win two lawn chairs and a cooler bag! The draw will be held once the survey closes March 31.
