Violence Prevention Labrador

Violence Prevention Labrador (VPL) is a Pan-Labrador organization whose Coalition included volunteers from like-minded organizations and community partners from all over Labrador. Violence Prevention Labrador supports and strengthens the principal of unity in diversity as a guide to provide positive leadership to end violence and promote community capacity building in the Labrador communities.
 
Violence Prevention Labrador Objectives
·     To establish a communication network among organizations that provide advocacy, service and education on issues of violence.
·     To involve individuals, organizations and communities throughout all regions of Labrador.
·     To gather and share information through networking, and to get an understanding of what communities are doing or have done to overcome the problem of violence.
·     To identify and rectify gaps in services from within the VPL and communities throughout Labrador.
·     To identify resources within our organization and in communities which can be used to improve our response to the problem of violence.
·     To encourage public awareness of the issues of violence.

We are interested in hearing from anyone who has an interest in social justice and violence prevention.
