A big piece of BSD's Capital Plan for space constraints and deferred maintenance is creating viable solutions for the needs of our Preschool/Early Education program. Our current spaces are insufficient to serve the needs of the community or the nearly two dozen children the District's waitlist each year.

As we strive to move forward addressing the inequities and needs in our Pre-K offerings, we’re working to engage the broader community to help identify needs and find a path forward. In 2018, BSD created the Early Education Task Force, formed to bring community voice into our Pre-K program plans to bring facilities into the 21st Century as far as teaching and learning. Please take our survey to help us move forward with high quality, safe spaces for our Burlington preschool program.
