The Department of Electronic Communications of the Ministry of Transport Communications and Work would like to invite you to take part in this important survey. We would value your help and contribution.

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Work is working with an EU research consortium to assess the benefits to Cypriot firms of broadband. As part of this we are undertaking a survey of all businesses with a current broadband connection across Cyprus. The survey is designed to provide a better understanding of the importance of broadband (and of faster broadband) to business competitiveness and growth. Knowledge of this will be very important to the Cypriot economy.

We would really appreciate you taking the time to complete the survey. In return for your time, all those who complete the questionnaire will be entered into a draw to win an iPad Air2.

We will send a copy of a short report to all those who complete the survey, that will tell them how other firms are using broadband and what the benefits are.

Confidentiality

What you tell us in this survey will be treated confidentially and nothing will be released in an attributable form to any 3rd parties. The data will be held only by the EU research consortium and the Cypriot Government. We will only report/ publish aggregated results (i.e. totals, averages, trends etc), in a form that is not attributable to any individual firm that fills in the questionnaire, unless the firm agrees to be a case study.

Case studies

We would like to prepare a small number of case studies of firms that agree to be case studies. These will provide free publicity to the firms taking part. For those firms who agree to be case studies and for whom we then prepare a case study, prior to publishing this, we will clear the text with the firm first and get this signed off by the firm.
