MI-AWWA 2027 Call for Young Professionals Summit Presentations

Share your knowledge with Michigan's water workforce.

The YP Summit is built by young professionals, for young professionals, a one-day hands-on learning, industry exposure, and real connection for emerging leaders across Michigan's water sector. If you have a topic you're genuinely passionate about, something that would help someone else at your stage of career, we want to hear from you.

If you're a young professional (35 or younger) in Michigan's water sector with insight to share, submit an abstract.

6.Provide three learning objectives of the presentation.  Begin your response with verbs such as: understand, demonstrate, learn, recognize, implement, assess, etc.)(Required.)
7.By submitting my presentation abstract for consideration, I agree to a Speaker Agreement, and based on mutual consideration, I understand and agree to the considerations as listed below.

If accepted to present, I agree to not engage in any type of promotional marketing or selling of any product or service during the presentation.

9.To the best of my knowledge, my presentation does not violate any proprietary or personal rights of others (including any copyright or privacy rights), is factually accurate, and contains nothing libelous or otherwise unlawful.(Required.)
10.I grant to MI-AWWA a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, unlimited use, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, distribute, and sell my presentation (including all handouts and PowerPoint presentations) in any way, with appropriate attribution to me.  I understand that this license does not change the fact that I retain copyright ownership of my presentation and does not prohibit me from using my presentation in any way or from allowing others to use it.(Required.)
11.I provide consent for MI-AWWA to record my presentation in audio and/or visual form. If my presentation is recorded, I understand that MI-AWWA will be the sole copyright owner of the recording. (Required.)
12.In less than 200 words, provide a brief biography of yourself that would be used to introduce you. Include your professional qualifications, education, etc. (Submission of an introduction does not constitute automatic acceptance of a presentation.)(Required.)
