About this Survey

Safety, access and the quality of our transportation infrastructure are important to our community. In 2017 the College Place City Council established a Transportation Benefit District, which allows the City to develop a funding source to support transportation infrastructure improvements (roads and sidewalks).

The College Place City Council recently decided to establish a 0.1% sales in order to fund these needed improvements. This will cost only $1 for every $1,000 spent on taxable purchases and raises the local sales tax to 8.8%.

This is estimated to bring in around $230,000 per year and can be used as match money to bring in millions of dollars for our City. It also means that everyone who uses College Place’s roads will pay for them, not just city residents.

The City wants to hear from you to understand how you think this funding should be spent. The following survey should take you around five minutes. Thank you for your time and input!
