Purpose of Award: The Jan Parks Lifetime Achievement Award may be occasionally awarded at the Commission’s discretion to recognize extraordinary long-term volunteer service to the military, veteran, or greater Monterey County community. The Jan Parks Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual who has dedicated a minimum of ten (10) years of volunteer service involving or benefitting three (3) or more programs in Monterey County.
This notable award is co-presented by the County of Monterey Military and Veterans Affairs Commission and the Monterey County United Veterans Council at the annual Veteran of the Year awards dinner.
