Victor Simfukwe was a Zambia-based Project Manager with Transaid, supporting projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Victor was committed to reducing the number of deaths on Africa’s roads and improving access to essential services for those most in need.
In 2019, Victor tragically lost his life in a road traffic crash in Zambia. In his memory, 2025 will mark the sixth year of the Victor Simfukwe Award. The award will recognise an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to advancing Transaid's work over the past 12 months, demonstrating the same passion, energy, and tireless dedication that Victor brought to his work. This could be someone involved in one of Transaid's programmes, an individual who has tirelessly fundraised for Transaid, or a Transaid colleague, for example.
Note: one nomination per person
