The Jewish Federation's Committee on Inclusion and Disabilities

The Jewish Federation’s Committee on Inclusion and Disabilities (CID) began as a grass roots effort to celebrate Jewish Disability Awareness Month (JDAM) in February of 2011. Since then, CID has continued to pursue its dedication to disability awareness and inclusion in the Sacramento Region’s Jewish community. We have:
-- organized recreational programs for children with disabilities and their families;
-- promoted regional programming about increasing awareness of the topic of inclusion;
-- conducted a workshop about developing and implementing disability services and supports to the Sacramento Area Jewish Educators (SAJE);
-- sponsored a communitywide panel about transition to adulthood for individuals with disabilities;
-- presented Jewish community resources to Service Coordinators at Alta California Regional Center;
-- publicized synagogue and organizational events to families and the disability community during JDAM; and
-- provided resources and referrals to individuals on an ongoing basis.

This survey will help us learn more about barriers to participation for individuals with disabilities and their families, identify further opportunities to promote greater participation in Jewish life, and strengthen our community’s inclusion efforts. Please take 10 minutes to complete this survey. Your voice matters to us!

Responses will be anonymous and your participation will not result in your email being added to any other list or used for any other purpose. Help us share this survey by forwarding it to people living in the Sacramento region that have households with a Jewish member. We want to hear from as many people as possible on this important topic.

Thank you in advance for your participation!
