In response to COVID19, Vantage Point is continuing to support BC’s not-for-profit sector by offering new short-term services through our COVID19 Response Team of skilled volunteers.

Currently, the COVID19 Response Team can provide the following voluntary services. All organizations will start with up to 2h of support from an Advisor/Navigator. Additional support can be arranged with the advisor/navigator, if they are available, or you can contact Vantage Point at info@thevantagepoint.ca to request additional support or other Vantage Point services.

Information Navigators
1:1 virtual support with navigating government support for not-for-profit organizations; specifically, provincially and federally announced financial resources. Information Navigators can provide clarification about each resource and guide you to official government content (ex. application portals, news releases, publications) and other credible sources for your organization to consider. Information Navigators cannot provide any legal or specific advice; however, they can equip you with the necessary information for your organization to make informed decisions.

Governance Advisors
During these unprecedented times many Not-For-Profits and their boards are struggling with difficult questions and decisions. With the prevailing uncertainties, the board needs to provide steady and adaptive leadership in support of organizational governance. Our Governance Advisors will be such experts who will offer 1:1 virtual advisory support and offer resources and ideas to a particular not-for-profit organization on how to collaborate with their board suggesting some strategies around equipping the board to assess risks, formulate a plan and be innovative in times when established roles and responsibilities have been challenged.

Fundraising Advisors
Many not-for-profits are concerned about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on fundraising or are looking for advice from some fundraising experts to weather this storm. Our Fundraising Advisors will offer 1:1 virtual advisory support and offer resources and ideas to a particular not-for-profit organization on how to restructure their fundraising calendar; create a new fundraising plan; or suggest ways to conduct major gifts fundraising without face-to-face interaction.

Financial Management Advisors
During COVID 19 not-for-profits have realized a complex shift in their financial management needs. With the prevailing uncertainties organizations need to understand how they can reduce financial risk during this time and position themselves to take on new opportunities to financially stabilize after the crisis has passed. Our Financial Management Advisors will offer 1:1 virtual advisory support and offer resources and ideas to a particular not-for-profit organization on wide variety of financial management strategies and discuss innovative ways to implement those strategies effectively.
