How are we doing in our COVID 19 response?

A mini survey to test COVID 19 awareness in South Africa and hear your ideas!

Perhaps we could say it is still too early in this crisis to make assessments: when we look around the world, we see very different responses to the COVID 19 pandemic. It is true that much could still change but some countries are seeing positive results from their approach. Each country needs to take into account their own circumstances and consider their own culture but the 6 areas covered in the survey look at some of the key elements of a what may be considered, a good response. This is not a government survey but does reference the communication that the SA Gov. has made available to the public. Please share your views honest, survey results will be published in due course. We have one of the highest COVID 19 testing rates in Africa. Currently the rate is about 4 positive results for every thousand tests done and over 40 000 people have been according to the NICD. 31 March 2020. As a comparison, South Korea has had 24 positive cases for every 1000 tests. https://www.nicd.ac.za

In less than a week over R500 million rand has been donated to the solidarity fund set up by our President. R150 mil was seeded by government but the rest has come from private people and companies.
