This scholarship is made possible through a gift from Meredith Bond, Ph.D. and Antonio Scarpa M.D., Ph.D., in memory of Jean and Ken Bond.
The scholarship shall award up to $3,000 per year toward tuition and fees for an undergraduate student meeting the following criteria:
1. The recipient must be an incoming freshman for the 2020-21 academic year, directly admitted into the College of Sciences and Health Professions (COSHP) and enrolled full-time for the Fall and Spring semesters.
2. The recipient must have a minimum ACT composite score of 23 (or SAT 1140). Waived for 2020-21 only.
3. The recipient must complete a FAFSA, demonstrating some level of financial need.
4. The recipient must complete an essay on their desire to pursue a science major and career.
The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years, provided that the recipient maintains a COSHP major and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8, and completes a minimum of 30 credit hours per academic year.
Applications must be completed by 8:00am on Wednesday, July 15th. The scholarship recipient will be notified prior to the start of the Fall 2020 semester.
