How to Become a COE Team Leader/Team Member
The Council on Occupational Education (COE) welcomes institution members to serve on peer review teams as either leaders or members. These peer reviewers play an essential role in helping institutions seek and maintain membership in the COE community of higher education institutions.

Serving on COE Teams does require a time commitment:
  • Initial or Reaffirmation site visits are typically 3 to 4 days for a visit, depending on the number of programs and campuses, whereas candidate and substantive visits are typically 2 days.
  • Can you take time away from your primary responsibilities to give the school adequate attention?
  • Will you have time prior to the visit to read the self-study (you will get this 60 days before your visit)?
  • Will you be able to commit time to review the school’s digital footprint before your visit?
By agreeing to serve on a COE team, you are making a professional commitment to COE and to the visiting team and institution. Please make every effort to honor this commitment and participate fully in the review process.

Through its process, COE upholds its Core Values and supports member institutions in fulfilling their higher education missions. Interested individuals should follow COE’s process to be considered as a team member.

Thank you for your interest in assisting other institutions and grow professional by volunteering to serve on a team!
