The following questionnaire is intended to identify the collection services that are most important to residents and gauge residents’ preference for a “pay as you throw” based service using stickers or other methods.  The results of the questionnaire will be used to guide staff and City Council in preparing a Request for Proposals that attracts the best rates for the services most valued by DeKalb residents.

The City’s contract with Waste Management for the collection of single-family residential refuse, recyclables, and yard waste expires on August 31, 2018.  Currently, collection services are bundled and residents pay the same amount regardless of the number of resident-supplied containers placed at the curb.  It may be possible to lower the monthly rate being charged for single-family residential collection services if the rate is based primarily on the services used by each resident.

* 1. All respondents must submit an email address to validate the data collected.   The City of DeKalb will not be sell, share, or rent your email to a third party.  The email addresses collected are for the sole purpose of this questionnaire.
