Project Overview: The former Wayne Golf Course is an 89-acre treasured site along the Sammamish River with strong ties to Blyth Park and the Burke Gilman and Sammamish River Trails, connecting to the Park at Bothell Landing, Downtown Bothell, and beyond.
Past and ongoing efforts have defined goals for this park, given guidelines on what amenities may be appropriate here, and begun enhancing ecological habitat on site. This project will identify design alternatives and phasing for park improvements.
Project Timeline: The project team has been working on site analysis, field work, and gathering information on opportunities for park improvements. We are now in the Design and Vision Phase and are collecting information through surveys and public engagement events to understand what our community envisions for this open space.
Please share your thoughts on priorities for Wayne Open Space in the survey below. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes and will be available through February 15, 2026. Feedback from this survey will inform our project team in developing park design alternatives.
In the coming months, a second project survey will gather feedback on proposed design concepts and identify the amenities and park features the community is most interested in.
