COUNSELLING WORKFORCE SURVEYThis survey was developed by FACT-Manitoba to better understand the current counselling and psychotherapy workforce across the province. It is part of an effort to support informed discussions with the Government of Manitoba regarding professional regulation, workforce capacity, and access to mental health services.
The purpose of this survey is to gather concrete, practice-based information from those working in the field. Specifically, we are seeking to understand:
· The structure and composition of the current workforce
· How and where services are delivered
· Barriers to access, including insurance and regulation
· Workforce capacity, including caseloads and waitlists
· Professional standards, supervision, and risk protection practices
· Integration with the broader healthcare system
· Geographic access to care across Manitoba
· Perspectives on regulation and public protection
The data collected will be reported only in aggregate form and will be used to support evidence-based recommendations. The goal is to provide government with an accurate picture of counselling and psychotherapy in Manitoba, including current strengths, gaps, and opportunities for development.
Your participation is voluntary, and all responses are anonymous. Your insights are essential in ensuring that future policy decisions are grounded in the lived realities of practitioners across the province.
With thanks for your participation,
