WaterNSW has been engaged by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment to prepare a final business case to explore the option of constructing a new gated weir and fishway structure on the Macquarie River, 200 metres downstream of the existing Gin Gin Weir. The new structure will help contribute towards improving water security for the region and industries.

We are interested in understanding how the local community feels about the recreational area near the existing Gin Gin Weir and suggestions on the future use of the area.

The survey should take 3-5 minutes to complete (12 questions in total). Feedback will be summarised and assist with developing the business case and environmental impact statement.

We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
