The Skagit Conservation District, Washington Department of Natural Resources, Sierra Pacific Industries, Hampton Lumber, and Glacier Peak Institute are offering a FREE, field-based training in Skagit County July 14-16, 2026.

Join us for an immersive overnight experience led by forestry experts and develop a deeper understanding of natural resources science and management. This training will prepare you to bring forestry education into your classroom! Earn free STEM clock hours with meals and lodging included.

This training is for WA public school teachers who teach grades 6-12. A travel stipend of $75 is available for teachers who attend the July 14-16 program and an online follow up meeting in the fall. Complete this survey to register!
