The Steering Committee for the Alliance was approved on December 1, 2021, by the 15 Iowa Community College Presidents/Chancellors, and final approval by the IACCT Board of Trustees on December 2, 2021.

The committee will be composed of 3 community college presidents/chancellors, 2 community college executive or cabinet administrators, 2 community college DEI representatives, 2 community college faculty, 2 community college students, and 1 community college human resources staff. 

Committee members will include individuals who are leaders in DEI at their college, state level, and/or national level, or have interest in DEI. Individuals with DEI expertise and knowledge are highly encouraged to be part of the Steering Committee but members without prior experience in DEI are also welcome.

Nominations for the Steering Committee are taken on an ongoing basis.
