Title of Study: Examining Toxic Leadership, Organizational Cynicism, and Intent to Leave Among Recently Separated U.S. Army Officers

You are being invited to participate in a research project conducted by Dakota Shade, who is a doctoral candidate at the University of Arizona Global Campus.
You are invited to participate in a research study examining how experiences with leadership and organizational attitudes relate to the intent to leave among recently separated or retired U.S. Army officers. The purpose of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of how toxic leadership and organizational cynicism may influence officers’ decisions to leave military service.
You will be asked to take a survey that will take about 10-15 minutes of your time. The potential risks associated with this study include the possibility of discomfort in recalling previous experiences.
Your individual privacy will be maintained in all publications or presentations resulting from this study. No names, contact information, unit identifiers, or IP addresses will be collected, ensuring that all responses remain anonymous. All data will be stored in a secure, password-protected location accessible only to the researcher. Results will be reported only in aggregate form, so no individual response will be identifiable.
