Introduction
To all those in the Liverpool City Council licensing area who consider they need extra assistance or an adapted taxi vehicle to allow them to travel
Liverpool City Council is carrying out a review of the current supply and demand for wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAV) and other adaptations or assistance that users may need across the hackney carriage and private hire trades in the Liverpool City council area. A wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) is a vehicle that's been converted by mobility experts to allow a disabled passenger to travel in their wheelchair.
LVSA is an independent consultancy who have been asked to carry out this engagement with you on behalf of the taxi licensing authority at Liverpool City Council. A summary of the results of this consultation will be provided to the Council, but your personal details will not be included. This survey is anonymous and individual responses will not be linked to any persons’ identity. The data will be kept safely and securely and destroyed 12 months after the consultation results have been presented.
The survey is brief and should only take a few minutes to complete: we want to hear your views and experiences of the licensed service (hackney carriage [hcv] and private hire vehicles [phv]) in this area. If you are unable to complete the survey by yourself, you are welcome to ask someone else to complete it on your behalf. We are particularly keen to hear from parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs.
Please feel free to add further information you believe to be relevant. To confirm, your responses will be summarised and included in our report and will not identify any individual. If you write or call on behalf of more than one person, please let us know how many people you are representing.
The consultation closing date is 5pm Monday 31st March 2025. Thank you in advance for taking part.
