INTRODUCTION
On 1 November 2025, the Australian Government introduced aged care reforms under the new Aged Care Act. These changes include the introduction of the Support at Home program and changes to how residential care services are delivered and funded.
As the peak body for dementia in Australia, it is important that Dementia Australia captures information about the ongoing impact of the aged care reforms, including any unintended consequences for people living with dementia and carers.
This short and simple survey tool is available on an ongoing basis and provides an opportunity for you to give us feedback about your experiences with aged care services, including any impacts or unintended consequences of these reforms.
You can return to this survey using the same link any time you have a story or an experience to share with the Policy team.
The Policy Team will use this information to report back monthly to the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. This will provide real time information to flag issues promptly.
We will also use this information to inform Dementia Australia’s submissions to relevant parliamentary inquiries and government consultations.
Your responses will be de-identified and providing your name at the end of the survey is voluntary.
