The Central East Stroke Network (CESN) Education Fund was established to support professional development opportunities that incorporate best practice through learning opportunities or projects focused on evidence-based practices in stroke care. The funding is provided by the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care. Individuals whose applications are approved can be funded for up to a maximum of $500 per fiscal year. Travel and accommodation costs are not eligible.
This stroke education funding opportunity is open to all healthcare providers across the stroke care continuum working in the York, HKPR, Muskoka, Simcoe and Durham Districts. In order to apply for funding please complete the application below. Applications will be accepted either before or after course attendance, however, applicants must pay for courses in advance and submit original receipts. Funding will be released once the applicant provides a Certificate of Attendance for the event. If funding approved, you will receive instructions on how to submit paperwork. Your manager will be notified in writing to ensure that they endorse your attendance at this educational event.
The CESN Review Committee strives to ensure fair representation throughout the region when considering multiple applications. The committee is comprised of Regional and District Stroke Coordinators and meets every two months. Please submit your application as early as possible to ensure ample time for review.
