AIA Colorado Program Planning Committees - Application

AIA Colorado is seeking volunteers to serve on committees that will guide content decisions for AIA Colorado 2018 Programs. We are looking to select five to six committee members for each program, representing a diversity of firm size, gender, career stage and practice focus.

Milestone Reception
This event, to be hosted in late May in Denver, will recognize architects celebrating major milestones in their career.
First committee meeting: End of March

AIA Colorado Design and Honor Awards Gala 
This event, to be hosted Sept. 7 in Denver, will celebrate the accomplishments of architects across Colorado.
First committee meeting: Beginning of April

Materials Matter
This series (5-6 classes total hosted in Denver), modeled after a successful Seattle course, will explore best practices and products for designing resilient buildings.

Path to Licensure
This series (a total of 6 classes hosted in Denver) will serve architects seeking licensure. The goal of the course is to help emerging architects prep for the ARE (Architect Registration Examination) through a mixture of resource sharing, information on what to expect, study tips and more.

Emerging Professionals Boot Camp
This course, to be hosted in Colorado Springs this summer, will be a one-day intensive workshop to enhance the skill sets of young architects/recent grads so that they may thrive within Colorado firms.

American Institute of Architects, Association of General Contractors and American Council of Engineering Companies (A3LC) Liaison Committee
The A3LC was formed over 30 years ago to promote a better understanding of relationships, roles and responsibilities between architects, engineers and contractors, architects through presentations and programs. We are seeking AIA members who are forward-thinking and eager to represent the architect perspective.
Time Commitment: 2 hours per month.
