Call for contributions

Our Children in Scotland annual conference is the flagship event for the children's sector. It provides a unique opportunity for those who work with and for children, young people and families to meet, learn about and debate the key issues facing the sector.

We'd love to hear about your work in the following areas:
• Challenging inequalities
• Improving early years and education
• Strengthening rights and participation
• Supporting children, families and communities
• Organisation and workforce development

The closing date for submissions is Friday 7 June 2019 at 6pm and we aim to respond by Friday 28 June.

In order to make event attendance costs as accessible as possible, we try to keep costs to a minimum.  As a result, we're generally unable to pay fees/expenses to workshop presenters. However, we do provide the following benefits to say thank you for sharing your time and experience with us:

Two x one-day passes
These passes are valued at c£110 each, and include access to all learning sessions, exhibition areas, lunch and refreshments on the day.

Reduced prices for colleagues
Highly-reduced rate for the other day and for other colleagues to attend.

Raising your organisation's profile
This includes a named mention in the conference booklet, named thanks on social media channels and the opportunity to provide  branded materials to the attendees in your session.

Developing you and your colleagues' skills, knowledge and networks
With last year's conference being attended by more than 500 people from 170+ organisations, it's a great opportunity to meet, learn and network with others from across the children's sector.
