It has been over 8 weeks since the pandemic was declared and emergency measures were announced thereby creating a dramatic shift in the global economy and in our lives.

Despite the food chain being of vital importance there have been layoffs and shutdowns. Some organizations have ordered their staff to work from home. Others have had to implement measures that would allow them to continue producing product and delivering services. Ultimately, this has had an impact on jobs in a material way.

CIFST believes that extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. We are aware that some of our members have either become unemployed or have had to agree to pay cuts to avoid getting laid off. This has limited their ability to renew their membership with CIFST.

Therefore, the CIFST Board of Directors recommends that memberships for those experiencing hardship in 2020 be extended until the end of the year on compassionate grounds.

In order to qualify for this membership extension, members meeting the criteria are required to complete and submit the form below.
