Welcome to the Cascade Head Scenic Research Area Trails and Access Survey. This survey was designed to gather input to the preliminary recommendations that the Cascade Head Scenic Research Area (CHSRA) Trails and Access Coordination Team has developed. This planning effort has been over three years long and has had input from hundreds of area residents and people who visit CHSRA. The Coordination Team held adjacent landowner workshops, an open house and an online community survey to help to understand the issues occurring within CHSRA. After over two years of discussing the issues and working to find solutions, the planning team has preliminary recommendations it would like to share with you and get your feedback on.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 and the inability to hold open houses and workshops, the Coordination Team is unable to meet with you in person. Instead, a website was developed at www.cascadeheadtrails.org   You can go there to read more about the planning process, watch videos explaining the recommendations and download the preliminary recommendations.  Once you have an understanding of the preliminary recommendations, you should take this survey to provide your input and help shape the final recommendations.
This survey will take you a fair bit of time - approximately 30-45 minutes to take.  We understand this is a lot of time.  But, we also understand the importance of allowing you and others to provide input towards the final recommendations. We thank you in advance for providing your feedback. You can only take this survey once.  But, you can go back and adjust your answers at any time until you finish the final question.
We have designed this survey to allow you to select if you would like to comment on recommendations in both the northern and southern half of CHSRA. If you aren't interested in one area or the other, feel free to say so and you will skip those questions from that area.  Thanks again for taking the time to provide your feedback. The Coordination Team truly appreciates and values your input.
