1. Use of Predictive Analytics in the New Zealand Construction Industry

This research is in support of Chris Alderson’s current study at Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) and in his role as CEO of Construction Health and Safety Trust.

If you have any questions about this project please feel free to contact Chris@chasnz.org or his supervisor gail.bandara@sit.ac.nz.  This research has been covered by blanket approval as a student research project by the Human Research Ethics Committee at SIT and is aimed at gaining information and insight from those working in the New Zealand construction industry.
Any submissions will be treated in confidence and as per the ethics requirements of SIT, however the cumulative anonymised responses and analysis will be available to all responders, SIT and through CHASNZ as a matter of public record through a supporting dissertation.

This research is focussed on the understanding and use of predictive analytics to understand and provide interventions in health and safety in the New Zealand construction sector.

The following question has been formulated to focus this research: “What is the current level of knowledge of the use and potential of predictive analytics in reducing injuries in the New Zealand construction sector?”
