Transport in Central Australia

In 2022/2023 the Chamber of Commerce NT conducted a study into transport in the Central Australian Region. 
As part of the study, we identified a number a number of challenges and barriers for the business community, particularly for those operating at night. Challenges included safety and security for taxi/private hire/shared drive operators, lighting in the CBD, anti-social behaviour and long wait times for car transport (due to listed challenges).
The purpose of the survey is to gather ideas and information on what activities, infrastructure or programs could be implemented for the community to move around Alice Springs in a timely and safe manner.
We will be undertaking this survey through Chamber members, business community contacts, social media, face-to-face surveys in shopping centres, key stakeholders and speaking to businesses and their patrons at night.
