Below is CSFPA's 2018 "Camp Am-Glad-I-Did-It" Call for Presentations submission form for educational workshops. The conference will take place October 10-12, 2018 (Wednesday through Friday) at the Sheraton Denver Tech Center in Greenwood Village, CO. PLEASE READ THROUGH ALL OF THE INFORMATION ESPECIALLY THE AUDIO/VISUAL SECTION OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE. Please complete all required areas, and date the "acknowledgement" portion of this submission form. This acknowledgement is your agreement to CSFPA's terms for presenting at this conference. Multiple proposals are allowed. Submission deadline is 5PM, June 30, 2018. Please note that key note speakers have already been selected for the fall conference. * 1. WORKSHOP SELECTION CRITERIA:

Thank you for responding to the Colorado State Foster Parent Association’s (CSFPA)Education Conference Call for Presentations. We are thrilled that you are interested in educating all those working in the child welfare community and in particular those directly involved with foster care.

In order to help insure a balanced conference program, all submissions are reviewed and evaluated by the CSFPA Conference Committee. Presentations are selected based on the following criteria:

- The degree to which the presentation supports the needs and current trends within the child welfare field in particular the needs of children in out of home placement and resource parents;

- Thoroughness of the subject matter and proposal;

- Expertise of the presenter;

- Originality of materials;

- Quality of learning objectives;

- Level of interactivity and method of diverse teaching styles;

- Quality of takeaway tools offered to all conference registrants;

- Appeal to a diverse and broad spectrum of attendees.

Please note that you will NOT receive a copy of your submission, so you may want to create and save your responses in another application (e.g. Microsoft Word) before proceeding with the Survey Monkey text template.

You can make multiple submissions should you have more than one presentation. Thank you for your interest in supporting Colorado’s resource parents and professionals within the child welfare field and ultimately, Colorado’s children in care. All submissions are due by 5PM, June 30, 2018.

* 2. HONORARIUM AND REIMBURSEMENT POLICY:

CSFPA will provide primary speakers one-day conference registration including conference meals for that day and one nights' lodging (guest hotel room within block) if needed, free WiFi and and parking as well as access to all hotel amenities. Not to mention an awesome Karma effect! CSFPA does not pay an honorarium or reimburse expenses unless agreed to in advance. Any room upgrades are at your expense. Co-presenters will also receive one day conference/registration and meals. Hotel lodging is not included for co-presenters.

* 16. In order to reduce overhead AND save trees, CSFPA will not be copying presenter handouts to participants. Presenters may bring handouts, provide CSFPA with an electronic copy of handouts which we will make available for participants before and after the conference through our website, or support their presentation using both options. Presenters will be required to bring their own lap tops and projection systems. CSFPA will provide a projection screen if needed and each room will have a flip chart and markers and table.

* 23. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:

As the primary presenter for this proposed session, I have thoroughly read the submission guidelines, selection criteria, and terms for speaker compensation, and I understand and agree that I will be responsible for communicating in a timely manner with the CSFPA staff and any co-presenter(s) regarding information about my session.

If my submission is selected, I understand and give my permission for the following:

• The CSFPA Annual Education Conference Committee has final determination of workshop sessions.

• Each workshop session will last 90 minutes; requests for two sessions will be considered by committee but is not guaranteed.

• I am responsible for adhering to the Call for Presentations deadlines and the guidelines for submission outlined in this document. If I fail to do so, the CSFPA Annual Education Conference Committee reserves the right to remove my session from the conference program.

• I am responsible for submitting electronic presentation materials to the CSFPA by September 26th, 2018 for inclusion on the CSFPA website. Any hard copy handouts will be supplied by me to workshop participants at the conference. I understand that CSFPA will not reproduce any handouts.

• I understand that electronic workshop materials will be provided on a protected website for registrants only prior to the Conference and for a few weeks following the conference for the attendees to download.

• I understand that my workshop session is not a showcase for promotion of my business, practice, or product. As CSFPA programs are noncommercial forums, the direct promotion of products and services is prohibited.

• I am responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce my handouts if copyrighted by an organization other than myself.

• I must refrain from overt statements, harsh language, or pointed humor that disparages the rightful dignity and social equity of any individual or group.

• The primary speaker will receive one night’s lodging (guest hotel room in block) complimentary, one-day conference registration including conference meals, and will have access to all hotel amenities including free parking and WiFi. Room upgrades, room service, and other in room upgrades are at the expense of the primary speaker. There is no honorarium for presenting nor are expenses reimbursed for participation in this conference.

• Up to one co-presenter will receive a complimentary one-day conference registration including meals. The primary speaker will be responsible for conference registration indicating workshops and meals they would like to attend.

• Co-presenters will also need to register for any workshops or meals they plan to attend. Co presenters are also responsible for their own lodging including reservations.

• I understand that the press may be present during my session.

• I understand that I will NOT receive a copy of this submission.

I agree with the terms and conditions outlined in this Call for Presentations. In the event of a cancellation, I will notify CSFPA in a timely manner.
