The Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe is now accepting session proposals for the 2019 Children First Conference, December 7, 2019 in Miami, Florida.

We encourage you, or others in your organization, to submit an idea for a conference session. It’s your chance to engage early childhood systems leaders from all over the county and share your innovative ideas and lessons learned.

The theme of this year’s conference is Equity in Action and we hope to share the best thinking in the field, workforce investments, continuous quality improvement, and how to build early childhood systems that are inclusive, equitable, and meet the diverse needs of young children and families. Last year over 1200 registered to attend and we expect attendance to continue to grow.

We invite experts in early childhood policies, best practices and business development to consider presenting. Possible topics and educational tracks are included within the application.

Please take your time to complete the following proposal application. Note that submitting a proposal does not automatically guarantee acceptance. All submissions are reviewed and evaluated by a group of ELCMDM volunteer reviewers.

Considerations for selection include:

Ø  Appropriateness of subject matter (in relation to the early care and education field)
Ø  Expertise of the Presenter(s)
Ø  Clear articulation of learning outcomes, goals and objectives
Ø  Application of best practices in adult learning
Ø  Florida Early Learning Developmental Standards Birth to Kindergarten  Standards for Children Birth to Kindergarten

Thanks for your continued support and participation in our learning community. We look forward to your ideas for the conference.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is July 31, 2019. If you have questions about completing your proposal, please contact the Professional Development Institute at 305-646-7220 ext. 2350.
