What is important to you?

In 2014, Yale First Nation completed a Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP). Over the last 3 years, we have met many of these goals, outgrown our Plan and It is time to make a new CCP.

The CCP process is built around what is important to community members, and how they see Yale First Nation. We need your input to make a strong Plan!

Please answer these 5 short questions about what Yale First Nation should focus on, and some of your thought on Yale today, and you will be entered into a draw for a $25 gift card! The draw will be on January 18th.

* 1. We asked community members about the strengths, challenges, opportunities, and other issues they saw for Yale. These are:

Strengths:
  • social programs and
 services
  • new housing

  • strong leadership

  • partnerships with other
agencies and communities

  • financially responsible
Band Office

Challenges:
  • trauma and past hurts

  • transportation

  • off reserve members
not feeling connected
to Yale

  • few jobs locally

  • small band office

Opportunities:
  • the forestry license
  • getting together

  • transparency in the
Band Office

  • welcoming off-
reserve members
back

Is there anything else you would like to point out, that we may have missed?

* 2. From what Yale members have told us, we have come up with 8 big Goals. Please rank them (1-7) in terms of what we should focus on. (#1 is most important, #7 is least).

* 3. Is there another area we should be focusing on?

* 4. What are the top 3 things you think Yale First Nation should do over the next 10 years?

* 5. Is there anything else you would like to say or ask about the Community Plan Update?

* 6. If you would like to be entered into the draw, please let us know how to contact you! (Name and phone number or email address). This information will be kept anonymous and only used for the draw!
