Overview

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) offers the Clinical Education Program Developer Academy (CEPDA) as a resource for developers of clinical education programs in school districts, private and charter school organizations, and college and university teacher preparation programs. Academy participants build content knowledge in four essential skills of clinical educators and receive support in order to revise or develop their organization's clinical education training program to incorporate the four skills.

At this time, CEPDA is undergoing a content review to align with current policies and best practices. If you are interested in being notified once future offerings are scheduled, please complete the survey that follows.

Please note that FDOE no longer offers a "train-the-trainer" program for clinical education, nor do they "certify" participants in clinical education. If you are interested in supervising teacher candidates or would like to facilitate clinical education training, please contact the department within your organization that oversees clinical education. Lastly, this program is not designed for those who develop programs in any other field (e.g., medical, law, etc.).

Should you have questions regarding the survey, or CEPDA in general, please contact Rivka Wohlgemuth at Rivka.Wohlgemuth@fldoe.org.
