1. Introduction
- Significant activities have been undertaken against the nine goals of the CEPA program during the last years and there are lots of material to work with. There are opportunities for improvements in implementation at the national level.
- COP13 instructs the CEPA Oversight Panel to review the implementation of the CEPA Program, coordinate its efforts with the Strategic Plan Working Group, and report to Standing Committee 59 on the results, which will then be considered at COP14.
- The CEPA Oversight Panel 2016-2018 has made a report with recommendations on future direction that proposes focus on making CEPA more strategic, integrated and effective in achieving wetland protection and wise use. - We invite you to contribute to the review by sharing your experience and ideas in this survey. The results will be used to develop the new approach on CEPA implementation.
