Leadership Development and Capacity Building Programs Survey (FY '21) |
Nonprofit Leadership Development Programs, Capacity Building Programs, and Training Programs
The Center for Excellence in Nonprofits (CEN) has been working to develop local nonprofit leaders for over 25 years and understands the value of nonprofit development and what quality leadership programming constitutes. Thank you for choosing to participate in our Leadership Development & Capacity Building Survey!
This survey is only for organizations that provide leadership training programs. If you provide nonprofit consulting and coaching services here in the Bay Area, we invite and encourage you to instead participate in our Consulting & Coaching Survey here:

About the Study…
In partnership with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, we’re engaging in this study to better articulate the leadership and capacity building ecosystem locally and to assist both funders and the nonprofit community in assessing the relevance, efficacy, and long-term impact of various programs and/or consultants as well as raising visibility for all of you - the organizations doing this critical work!
Through this process, we are also hoping to identify capacity building organizations/programs that can demonstrate a deep understanding of the current landscape and offer well-rounded perspectives, experiences, and proven curricula that build leadership success. The goal is to build a list of leadership programs and consultants (access the Consulting & Coaching Survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CEN_consulting_coaching) that will be utilized by local foundations and nonprofit leaders to determine what services and support are available to them and would be the best fit for each organization’s/leader’s unique needs.
CEN believes in Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Liberation (IDEAL) principles, and – through this list – we endeavor to highlight and celebrate the diversity of experience each consultant/organization brings to the table. It is with this philosophy and principles that we’ve put together the comprehensive list of questions below. Although this information will be used to inform local foundations and nonprofit organizations of the variety of services and support available, we recognize that some of these questions are sensitive in nature and therefore want to ensure participants that we will share your services and contact information only and will not be sharing your personal responses/profiles publicly. The survey will take you an estimated 25 minutes to complete and we ask that the lead consultant fill it out.
We are committed to ensuring this process includes people that are not always asked to participate and is representative of our community and the wide array of services and support available. If you need other accommodations to complete this survey or have general questions, please contact information@cen.org.
