The Faculty Champion Award

CEIA Distinguished Achievement and Excellence Nomination form: The Faculty Champion Award

CEIA recognizes distinguished achievement and excellence by annually recognizing educators and employers who have excelled or made significant impact in work-integrated learning.

The Faculty Champion Award
For Outstanding Faculty Contribution to the Field of Cooperative Education and Internships.

CEIA has launched this new award to recognize distinguished achievement and excellence by a faculty member in any discipline who supports the value of work integrated learning (WIL). The hallmark of a quality work integrated learning experience is an intentional pairing of academics with hands-on work experience. This new award aims to celebrate the faculty champions who believe in the power of work integrated learning and champion it within their courses, disciplines and academic departments.
This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the promotion and advocacy of work integrated learning by a member of the faculty. The award is given every year. The award is competitively determined and is intended to recognize significant contributions to the field both by incorporating work integrated learning experiences into their own courses and in furthering the commitment of their institution in providing these experiences to students. Three winners will be chosen annually and will be honored at the Business Meeting at the CEIA annual conference. The nominator must be a CEIA member, but the nominee need not be. Nominations Deadline: November 1.
