Introduction

Input from this survey and participation in the public meetings will assist in creating an economic development roadmap for our region. 

The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is a five-year planning document required to continue as an Economic Development District.  In addition, it is a tool to help us capitalize on our strengths and work to overcome our weaknesses, creating a more viable and prosperous region.  It also presents opportunities to request grants to assist with infrastructure, brownfields, and other economic development projects from the US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration and other Federal agencies.
