FIRST TERM CANDIDATES
1.Paige Roy
Paige Roy - A lifelong equestrian and native of Area 1, I have been actively involved with Green Mountain Horse Association (GMHA) for more than 15 years, both personally and professionally, and have long valued its impact on the New England equestrian community. After graduating from James Madison University, I returned to Massachusetts to run Emerald Isles Eventing Center (EIEC) in Westborough, MA, a 50-acre equestrian facility focused on training, education, and community. Through EIEC, I regularly participate in and recommend GMHA events, clinics, and programs to my clients. I also serve on the James Madison University Hart School Advisory Board and the Crotty Family Foundation Board, which strengthen my appreciation for advocacy, collaboration, and thoughtful leadership. I would be honored to bring my experience, perspective, and passion for the equestrian community to the GMHA Board of Directors and contribute to the organization's continued growth and success.
2.Ashley Clark
Ashley Clark - I have enjoyed riding at GMHA for many years, with a particular focus on trail events. What began as an individual passion has grown into a shared experience, and I now bring a group of fellow riders—and often horses for friends—so that we can all enjoy GMHA together.

In 2020, I opened a beginner lesson program in Charlotte, Vermont. I own eight horses, including both personal and lesson horses, and remain actively involved in introducing riders to the equestrian community. I would welcome the opportunity to help GMHA continue to grow while preserving the qualities that make it an exceptional facility for horses, riders, and the many events it hosts.
3.Sarah Bunkley
Sarah Bunkley - I began spending time with horses in fourth grade fulfilling the dream of many young rider, and have never stopped. In 1979, I started teaching at a hunter-jumper show barn on Cape Cod. After moving to New Hampshire in 1984, I continued teaching and eventually opened Stagecoach Hill Farm, my own small barn in Plymouth.
Connection to GMHA - My first visit to GMHA was in July 1988, when I photographed a White Mountain Pony Club rider at junior horsemanship camp. She had qualified for the Pony Club Jumper Nationals, and I had been selected to coach the team in Kentucky. From that first visit, I was struck by GMHA’s picturesque setting in the Kedron Valley, as well as its impressive facilities and staff. I have felt a lasting connection to GMHA ever since.

Over the years, I have participated in nearly every type of event the valley offers. I have supported friends competing in dressage and combined driving; watched my students compete in hunter-jumper shows and horse trials and attend horsemanship camp; served as my husband’s ground person while he schooled cross-country; and joined him for pleasure rides and Members’ Day activities with our horses.

The Perspective that matters to us all - My equestrian life has brought many adventures, but I am still living the horse-filled dream that began in childhood. GMHA remains an exceptional equestrian facility—one grounded in Vermont character and sensibility. It would be a privilege to safeguard and grow this treasure for generations to come.
