What is the Chaves County Health Council (CCHC)?
CCHC is a volunteer-led group representing all residents of Chaves County. Members meet monthly to communicate, collaborate, and implement strategies to improve the physical, mental, and social well-being of the community.

Anyone living in Chaves County is welcome to become a member. Participants include:

Vision
CCHC believes that everyone has the right to live in a community where they feel safe, included, valued, and accepted. CCHC promotes healthy living and activities for all area residents
Mission
CCHC aspires to become a viable alliance to strengthen and engage our community in creating opportunities for positive action that addresses the disparities specific to Chaves County.
How CCHC Works
- Meetings: Held monthly; open to the public
- Decision-making: By consensus or vote; majority required for funding/activity recommendations
- Workgroups: Sub-committees carry out specific projects
- Membership: No term limits; volunteer-based with no financial compensation
