We have a written guide/training instructions for staff to Register Patrons. I'll share it via email to support@sparkpa.org.
We follow specific standards for address entry/formatting. (example, all caps or not, zip codes, phone numbers, etc.)
We have a clear guide explaining how we use each
patron profile type
at our location.
We wish there were different
patron profile type
options.
We run a regular report for new patron registrations that we like.
We ask/tell patrons we use this information for marketing/other mailings when they register.
Our location has a
Welcome email
that sends within two minutes of the patron registration being saved.
We don't have a

we search ALL of SPARK
by default to see if they have an account at another SPARK library.
Before we register a patron, we search just our system/library.
We ask all patrons their
Hold Notification preferences
when they register.
I know and use the
Active checkbox
to make accounts inactive.
