Conscious Classrooms Facilitator Training Application Winter 2026

Become a Conscious Classrooms Facilitator and engage youth in conversations around identity, social justice, and healthy relationships!
Participants invited to facilitate will become Confluence Rising contractors and receive stipends for their work with students.
Conscious Classrooms is an in-school program for K-12 students focused on building the self-awareness, knowledge, and skillset they need to role model respect, advocate for justice, and strengthen their learning environments and school communities.

This training helps provide participants with the relevant knowledge and skills that are needed when working with students in Conscious Classrooms.
*PLEASE NOTE: This training is only for adults over 18 and out of high school*
*This training is NOT intended for full time school employees*
*This is a training specifically for folks interested in facilitating for Conscious Classrooms in-person*
**Folks participating in the program must be willing and able to facilitate in-person sessions during the school day (7am - 4pm) and within the school year (2025-2026) in Long Beach, Los Angeles, and surrounding areas.**

This is a dynamic program packed with helpful techniques, tools and insights. Here is what participants can expect:
• Opportunities to practice facilitating Conscious Classrooms activities (and other related skills).
• Interactive learning – including role-playing, experiential activities, collaborative dialogue, and more.
• In-depth exploration of social justice issues impacting diverse youth in schools and in the community.
• Strategies for handling resistance and conflict.
• Helpful resources and reference materials.
Some of the Conscious Classrooms topics include, but are not limited to:

• Who Am I? Who Are We? (Race and Ethnicity in the U.S.)
• Together vs. Against (Healthy Disagreement & Generative Conflict)
