Introductory Statement:

We are looking for employed individuals to participate in a study which investigates issues surrounding the process of seeking feedback about one's performance. You will be asked to think about your current employment situation, relative to your thoughts regarding seeking feedback, and respond to a series of items which address that feedback seeking. What is the purpose of this study?

This study is attempting to gain further insight into the decision making process one goes through when deciding to seek performance feedback.

What will I do in this study?

You will be asked to consider your current employment, and then respond to 17 items which address issues related to the process of seeking performance feedback. You will also be asked to respond to a small number of demographic items.

How long will it take me to do this?

Your participation should take approximately 5 minutes.

Are there any risks of participating in the study?

There are NO anticipated risks, and NO known potential for injury associated with your participation.

What are the benefits of participating in the study?

There are no real benefits associated with your participation other than the potential for increased insights about survey research and the process of seeking performance feedback.

Will anyone know what I do or say in this study (Confidentiality)?

No. All of your responding will be completely ANONYMOUS.

Will I receive any compensation for participation?

No. You will receive no compensation.

Is there a different way for me to recieve this compensation or the benefits of this study?

No. There is no compensation.
