Representative Faculty. Forwarding concrete efforts to both advertise for, hire and retain more teachers of color while providing ongoing training for all faculty on equitable and inclusive teaching practices.

Culturally-responsive Curriculum. Expanding course content by incorporating stories, perspectives, and histories that are underrepresented. Develop methods to evaluate the success of that content in building student awareness.

Representative Student Body. Identify any structural or cultural components of the HCCS admissions system that contribute to the current exclusion of African-American, Latinx, and lower-income students and, where possible, design solutions.

Inclusive School Climate. Increase opportunities for anti-bias training and self-awareness workshops for faculty, staff, students and parents designed to increase empathy. Rethink safe spaces for incident-sharing so it ties directly to workshop planning.

Admissions Reform improve the opportunities for Black and Brown students to be admitted into Hunter by having the Hunter administration engage in meaningful reform of the Hunter College High School admissions process
