Organic Seed Alliance (OSA) is a nonprofit organization that advances the ethical development and stewardship of the genetic resources of agricultural seed. Through research, education, and advocacy programs, we work with farmers and other seed professionals to build regional, farmer-centric organic seed systems.

The purpose of this questionnaire is to better assess the current state of the organic seed system in California and to prioritize ways in which OSA can work with farmers, researchers, seed companies and other stakeholders to increase the availability of organic seed in California. We will use the survey responses to guide a needs assessment during an organic seed stakeholder meeting at the EcoFarm conference in February 2012.

Obtaining feedback from California stakeholders in organic seed is vital to this assessment process. Please take ten minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your responses are voluntary and will be held confidential.

It is important that you complete all of the questions. If you have any concerns about a question, please contact Jared Zystro by email at or by phone at (608) 957-4829.

The survey will close on December 31st.

Please also contact Jared Zystro if you are interested in attending the stakeholders meeting at EcoFarm.

Thank you for your time and your commitment to building organic seed systems in California.
