Welcome. The survey will take approximately  20 minutes to complete - so grab a cup of tea and get comfy! Please do not feel obliged to answer every single question; just do what you can.

Who is this survey for?
Please fill in this survey if you balance (or have balanced) working in the screen industries with caring for someone.

Definition of caring:
Caring can be defined in simple terms as 'looking after someone'. Looking after someone can mean help with personal care, mobility, practical help like shopping and preparing meals, arranging a coordinating care such as support with medical appointments, helping with medication, paperwork, emotional support and supporting with leisure activities. It can include looking after someone with mental health issues or an addiction who cannot cope without your support. It's normally unpaid work (in a professionally capacity) and does not include parenting unless your child or children have a disability.

About this survey:
This is the most extensive survey into carers' experiences in the screen industries in the UK; your feedback is vital to our future plans and we appreciate you spending the time to share your experiences and opinions. Please do encourage others to contribute as well by sharing the survey link.

We will publish the survey results in line with Carers Week 2019 in June, and will make a call-to-action to individuals and organisations large and small, to make pledges for change based on the survey results.

This survey should be accessible to everyone. If you have any concerns accessing the survey please contact Mounira at Raising Films. The survey can be accessed by phone. Just email Mounira to arrange a phone call.

We are keen to develop our work in this area and are planning to conduct more in-depth research around cared-for people and professional carers in future.

Thank you
The Raising Films Team
