Fire Chief Peer Support Survey

Fellow Fire Chiefs

Approximately four months ago, Responder Strong, an organization I am very familiar with, delivered their newly developed 2-day ChiefStrong training to 16 selected Fire Chiefs across Arizona. This was the first Beta test of three for this curriculum. They are looking to and I am hoping to bring this to California.

We’re beginning the process of developing the next ChiefStrong™ cohort in California and want to better understand the existing relationships and trusted connections among Fire Chiefs across the state.

ChiefStrong is a year-long, evidence-informed mental wellness program designed specifically for Fire Chiefs. It combines facilitated learning, reflection, and trusted connection to address the unique psychological demands of executive command and build lasting networks among Chiefs.

This brief survey will help us identify and better understand your existing connections. There are no right answers. We are simply interested in understanding where trusted relationships already exist as we thoughtfully develop the California cohort.

Your response will be used only for ChiefStrong cohort planning and will not be publicly shared.
1.When you need trusted guidance, perspective, or support with a difficult personal or professional situation, which Fire Chiefs or Chief Officers within California are you most likely to turn to? Please identify up to three.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to help us shape the next ChiefStrong cohort.

ChiefStrong is built around the belief that trusted relationships among Chiefs matter, particularly when the demands of the job become difficult to carry alone. Your input will help us build on the connections that already exist across California while creating opportunities for new ones to develop.

We appreciate your time and your contribution to this work.
