Senate Bill 5964: Free School Meals

This bill would build on the previous free school meals legislation by increasing the eligibility to ALL schools, creating a universal program to feed Washington's students at no cost to them or their families.

This bill would help prevent backlogs in pre-employment requirements for potential child care staff by requiring the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) to maintain a minimum number of locations for fingerprint background checks.
