Chapter N – Quality Control and Quality Assurance - 1.5 Hrs.

AISC has added a new chapter in the 2010 Specification, Chapter N — Quality Control and Quality Assurance. This Steel Talk will discuss the reasons why AISC included this new chapter, and how Chapter N provides both a high level of assurance and a consistent set of inspection requirements. Most of the requirements of Chapter N are derived from current requirements in the IBC and those in related standards, such as AWS D1.1 and the RCSC Specification. Chapter N makes these requirements clear and places them in a single document.

Attendees will receive 0.15 CEUs / 1.5 PDHs for this session. This program complies with the Continuing Education Requirements in all States, including: The University of the State of New York, State Board for Engineering (NYSED Sponsor #5).
In order to create a uniform plan with requirements that result in better quality assurance than plans that vary with every project, AISC added a new chapter in the 2010 Steel Book. Chapter N makes these requirements clear and places them in a single document. Attend this session and learn the reasons why AISC included this new chapter, which is a significant step forward for all concerned with quality in building construction.
